  In a culture accelerating away from touch, I built a company that asked people to slow down and come back to the body.

The “intimacy” category as it is known today has reduced sensual connection to sexual enhancement. Better, harder, faster, longer, more pleasure. But, somehow still, there is less connection than ever. Touch has become transactional. Attachment has become transient.

We reframed sensuality into a daily practice —intelligent, embodied, and culturally serious — to move away from sex-fueled taboo.



*Noén launched into Goop in its first year and
sold out after two re-orders in three months.

Print Publication

Most brands launch with a product. Noén launched with a publication.

For a young brand with limited paid distribution a print magazine was a counterintuitive investment, but, it was also a precise one.

Social media compresses everything — the image, the idea, the attention span. A print-only publication does the opposite. It slows the reader down, demands presence, and signals that the brand has something to say that won't fit in a caption. In a category flooded with digital noise, offline became the differentiator. Print became our luxury signal. The magazine wasn't only a marketing tool, but a product in its own right, and it sold like one.

Both volumes sold out at 500 prints each.

Made to be Touched

Rather than directing toward a predetermined output, we invited visual artists to bring their own lens to the question of human connection. Each edition is a new provocation. Each one looks different. Because intimacy is not one thing.

The campaign launched with two photographers — Tom Bender, whose commercial portfolio spans Mercedes-Benz, Nike, Adidas, and L'Oréal, and Carolyne Loreé Teston, whose performance art also manifests in her photography program PRISM.

Most brand campaigns in the wellness and beauty space treat intimacy as aesthetic — soft light, draped linen, a suggestion of closeness that is ultimately safe and decorative. We created a platform for Noén to exist in culture beyond the product itself. It created a recurring content cadence, a framework for ongoing artist partnerships, and a visual identity that could hold its own next to brands with ten times the resources.
